Watercolor 101

Brush up on your watercolor skills in this introductory class that touches on a variety of techniques, including basic composition, underpainting, color mixing, glazing, wet on dry, wet on wet, masking, and scratching off. Be sure to bring a few reference photos from which you’d be comfortable painting.

Instructor Connie Manley has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia. She is a member of the South Carolina Water Media Society and has been painting professionally for the past 5 years. Her approach is traditional, using underpainting and glazing techniques.
