USC ColaJazz Camp

For students, musicians, jazz enthusiasts and educators… if you sing, play trumpet or drums, or you’re a high school band director, this weekend jazz camp is for you! Everyone will be placed in classes and combos appropriate to your level and interests. If you know nothing about jazz or you’re already out there gigging, we will take you to the next level!

Plan to immerse yourself in 2 days of innovative, hands-on sessions led by professional jazz musicians and world-renown, GRAMMY-nominated clinicians who will inspire and challenge! Each day will be full of jazz theory, history, listening, pedagogy, master classes, concerts, jam sessions and importantly playing in combos!

After spending a Saturday and Sunday working in your combos, theory, history and listening classes, each weekend session will culminate in a grand finale performance with a world-renown jazz clinician. AND thanks to High Fidelity Recordings and Jangly Records, you’ll be going home with a live recording of the evening’s performance!
