The Nutcraker Auditions - Carolina Ballet

Ann Brodie’s CAROLINA BALLET will hold open auditions for THE NUTCRACKER on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the CMFA ArtSpace, 914 Pulaski Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

Registration opens at 1:00PM and audition times are:

All Children 3-5 years old 2:00 PM

Boys, 6 and older 2:30 PM

Girls, 6 -8 years old 3:00 PM

Girls, 9-11 years old 4:00 PM

Girls, 12 and older 5:00 PM

Auditioners are reminded that some boys will be asked to stay for later auditions and dancers on pointe will also be asked to stay for later auditions.

 Adults interested in participating should call 771-6303.

Audition Dress requirements:

            Girls/Ladies – Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers/pointe shoes; slick ballet bun and light makeup

            Boys/Men – White leotard or T Shirt, black tights or bike shorts, white socks, white shores or black tights and black shoes.

The annual production of THE NUTCRACKER will be November 22-27, 2016, at The Township Auditorium.  This production features a full orchestra and chorus. Rehearsals for the production begin in September.

There is a $10 audition fee (cash)

Auditions for the Ann Brodie’s CAROLINA BALLET Company, will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016, beginning at 1:00 PM, at the CMFA ArtSpace, 914 Pulaski Street. Membership in Carolina Ballet is open to all qualified dancers through this audition process.  Carolina Ballet has Senior and Junior Company Divisions.  Acceptance is based on both ability and age requirements.
