Solar Science Saturdays Presented by SCE&G

Get ready for the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse with Solar Science Saturdays at the State Museum, presented by SCE&G! Every Saturday in August the museum will be full of Solar Eclipse related activities for kids, including:

• Hovercraft Rides
• Rocket Launching
• Creating Pinhole Projectors
• Discovering the Solar Spectrum with UV beads and spectroscopes
• Angular Momentum experience
• Understand how the eclipse happens with eclipse models
• Learn how telescopes work with Galileoscopes

Solar Science Saturdays are free with museum general admission or membership on August 5, 12 and 26th. Solar Science Saturday activities during Pre-Eclipse Weekend at the State Museum on Sat., Aug. 19 will be included with ticket purchase.
