Reinvented, a Sustainable Collection

Join us for opening reception of “Reinvented, a Sustainable Collection” a solo exhibition of works by Flavia Isabel Lovatelli. 

Fromt the artist: “I am a Sustainable artist; where my work is entirely made from recycled materials, as such, my art is a personal record, a visual journal of found materials that have caught my attention. My goal is to document the beauty of found objects I inject into my work. My influence is a melding of organic modernism fiber trash art and create two and three dimensional works of art for others to enjoy.

Each piece begins with a fleeting idea that comes by chance, spawned from my voracious collecting of discarded materials. The progression of my work stems from that and it evolves step by step, inevitably influencing my other media, Ultimately, I am attempting to create multilayered work where the absence of pattern is the vehicle. My work is dependent upon the understanding of the nature of the work; the whim of the discarded material. That understanding provides a framework and potential for a narrative.”
