Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the power of contemporary art firsthand. Refreshments and a word from the artists will take place for one night only! Please mark your calendars to celebrate the arts with us at Goodall Gallery!
Opening Reception: 11.16.23, 5-7:30 PM | Artist Talk @ 6PM
Goodall Gallery’s main space features Plate Spinner, a solo exhibition of new work by Martin Lang. What could be described as the sleek marketing aesthetic of a Fortune 500 company, this unique body of work underscores Lang’s fascination with popular consumer trends, questioning how images, goods, and locations rise to such popularity in contemporary life. Visitors to Columbia College’s Spears Center for Creative Arts will be greeted with Neill Prewitt’s vulnerable performance from his solo exhibition, Songwriting Lessons for the Performance Artist. Though different in material presentation, both artists share a preoccupation with the everyday objects we, as humans, so closely align with in the digital age.
