This series of workshops will guide you through creating your own percussion instruments.
This is a series of workshops which will utilize the gourd or calabash to hand craft numerous types of percussive and/or rattles, shakerie that are used in an ensemble or played along to accompany other voices or orchestration of music. Shakerie is a gourd with beads attached on the outside of the gourd in different patterns. A form of macrame tying of knots is used to make the sounds.
