Make Surfaces Sing - Instruction by Vanessa DeVore

Over 6 weeks students will learn how to layer techniques on the surface of their ceramic works to create depth and interest. Techniques covered include: impressed texture, inlay slip design, carving, image transfer with underglaze, sgriffitto, sprig decoration, slip trailing, glazing techniques including: wax resist, paper resist, oxide washes. This is for both hand building and wheel throwing students.

Students will need t bring both bisque and green ware pieces to work with.

Registration fee of $50 covers instruction and operation costs. Class size limited to minimum of 4 and maximum of 10.
