Harlem 100 featuring Mwenso & the Shakes

Created in collaboration with the National Jazz Museum in Harlem and JMG Live, this modern variety show captures the sights and sounds of Harlem when legendary artists made Harlem the cultural center of the country. Hosted by Michael Mwenso, Harlem 100 presents a portrayal of the most exciting musicians and dancers made famous in the Apollo Theatre, the Cotton Club, and other venues of the Harlem Renaissance. Featuring the music of Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, and Ethel Waters, Harlem 100 celebrates one of the most influential artistic movements in our country.
