Eclipse This! at ifART Gallery

if ART Gallery in Columbia, S.C., will celebrate the August 21 total eclipse with a weekend full of events.

On Saturday, August 19, the gallery will open The Grouping Exhibition, a new exhibition of gallery artists’ work, organized in groups with different themes, with a reception from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Admission is free. The exhibition will run through September 9.

Sunday afternoon, August 20, 2:00 p.m., Columbia native Andrew Choate and Chelsea Rector will perform Eclipses & Ellipses from Stars Hollow to the Dark Side of the Moon. The program will include song & dance, literary exuberance and attempts at music and humor. Admission is $5.

Sunday evening, 7:00 p.m. – midnight, Columbia musician The Dubber will present with Ismz of Art and evening of performance with Baba Tunde, Saraph Sunman, Othello’s \ Delight, Nepotism and DJ B Sam. The event is hosted by Sophia Neghesti. Admission is $10.

On Eclipse Day, Monday, August 21, if ART gallery will present Art In The Dark, for which the public is encouraged to bring its flashlights.
