It is safe to say that on almost any given day an artist is painting on Carlisle Street. For decades, this has been true. And, for over a decade now, the artists have gathered once a year to present their masterpieces collectively during their Holiday Art Stroll. This traditional opportunity is coveted by art lovers, interior designers, art collectors and individuals alike. The street is dynamic, with full-time and part-time artists flowing into and out of their respective studio spaces, all the while gathering inspiration for their colorful compositions. Over 50 artists’ paintings are available to homes and businesses this year on a first come, first served basis, as every painting is one-of-a-kind. There is a wide range of styles, sizes, mediums, genres and price points. This stroll emphasizes showcasing unique creations by Columbia hands that may add joy to your surroundings year-round. The area is known by locals as the Carlisle Street Art District. “We are a hidden gem,” said Cindi Betts of Jodi Jenkins Designs, “but we don’t want to be hidden.” There is something in store for all on Carlisle!
