It is not a random Egyptian thing. It was created by the late Richard Lane (1953-98) when he was hanging out at GROW café, the building that has the faded Hulk (hopefully still has the Hulk) painted on it's west-facing front (near the obelisk, on the beginning of Bluff Road, just down the road from the baseball park, if you come from Assembly).
