Rob Shaw Framing and Gallery is pleased to present A Collection of Male Nudes, an exhibition of drawings by artist Robert Kennedy, on view from November 12 through 21, 2026.
Celebrate Kennedy’s thirty-seven male-figure drawings at a reception on Thursday, November 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the gallery, located at 2123 Park Street in Columbia, South Carolina. The festivities will include a full bar and hors d’oeuvres by Just Jenny Catering.
Best known for his work as an architect, Kennedy brings a distinctive perspective to the human figure, approaching each drawing with the same sensitivity to structure, proportion, and balance that defines his architectural work. “Kennedy’s drawings occupy a rare space between architecture and intimacy,” says gallery owner and artist Rob Shaw. “The drawings reveal a quiet humanity—moments of stillness, vulnerability, strength, and contemplation rendered with remarkable restraint and confidence.” Through these works, Kennedy explores the human form with an emphasis on composition, subtlety, and expressive detail, inviting viewers to consider the relationship between physical structure and the human experience.
The exhibition will be on view at Rob Shaw Framing and Gallery from November 12 through November 21, 2026. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
