We will spend the first morning painting in your sketchbook using gouache. We'll explore a variety of color theory exercises, looking at analogous colors, complimentary, split complimenatry, and tetrad. Working on small little paintings in your sketchbook, we'll apply some of these color compositions. Then we'll explore a variety of mark-making techniques. These studies will painted in your sketchbook using gouache.
Looking at your studies, you will select and refine a composition to fit to your canvas. Using oil paint, you will create 2 paintings during this 2-day workshop.
