One Columbia for Arts and Culture announces its first Public Art Dialogue, a professional development event for local, regional and statewide artists and public art administrators. The Public Art Dialogue capitalizes on One Columbia’s history and expertise in commissioning, managing and maintaining a collection of over 150 pieces of art in public spaces in Columbia, featuring local and nationally recognized artists. The organization’s Interim Executive Director, Margie Reese sees this learning session as the first step in building the capacities of local artists to compete for public art projects in Columbia and for commissions in other cities.
