One Columbia was privileged to participate in Riggs Partners’ Annual CreateAthon in 2018. Thanks to the efforts of a tireless team of creative professionals, One Columbia now has a new logo and even a (slightly) new name.
One Columbia for Arts and History is now One Columbia for Arts and Culture. This small shift reflects the organization’s commitment to cultural equity, ensuring that citizens of the City of Columbia have access to culture as part of their daily lives. The board of One Columbia felt that by changing the name to “culture,” we better represented the number of ways that Columbians express themselves and contribute to the City’s overall identity. We continue to retain our commitment to history and historic preservation as a vital part of the City’s culture, and we will continue to amplify the work of historic preservation organizations and museums.
We’ll still be mostly known by our abbreviated name “One Columbia,” because we’re still very proud to continue to bringing all Columbians together through arts and culture.
