You’ll also learn how historic resources of the park are relevant to the lives and culture of Native peoples today, including the Cherokees, Catawbas, and other living groups.
Natural History:
Walk with us and help identify some of the more conspicuous, and perhaps not so conspicuous, plants and animals that occur at the History Park. We’ll discuss how terrain, soils and the general “lay of the land” affect animals, insects, plant distribution and abundance.
All tours are led by National Park Service trained volunteers and are about 2 miles (60 to 90 minutes).
