Our Celebration of Women Concert honors the memory of O’Neill Barrett Jr., M.D. and presents beautiful music featuring women as composers, performers or subjects. Program highlights include a Vivaldi Lute Concerto; music by Telemann, Monteverdi, and Purcell; plus women composers Elizabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Barbara Strozzi, and Julie Pinel.
Guest artist, Hazel Ketchum, lute and soprano joins Columbia Baroque members
Brittnee Siemon, mezzo soprano; Jean Hein, Baroque recorders; Erika Cutler, Baroque violin;
Mary Hoyt, Baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba; and Jerry Curry, harpsichord as
performers for the evening.
“Concert Conversations” with Sarah F. Williams begins at 7:00 p.m. followed by the performance
at 7:30 p.m.
