Free public lecture on modern anti-Semitism by famous scholar who wrote “Denial: Holocaust History on Trial”
Deborah E. Lipstadt, a scholar who won a famous legal battle over a Holocaust denier, will speak about modern anti-Semitism during the Solomon-Tenenbaum Lectureship in Jewish Studies at 7 p.m., Jan. 28, 2018. Lipstadt’s book “Denial: Holocaust History on Trial,” was adapted into the 2016 movie “Denial” starring Rachel Weisz and Tom Wilkinson. A book signing will follow Lipstadt’s talk. A signature event from the University of South Carolina College of Arts and Sciences, the annual lectureship is made possible by benefactors, Melvin and Judith Solomon of Charleston, and Samuel and Inez Tenenbaum of Columbia.
