For the Love of the Arts (FLA) Foundation will be hosting a “Special” Afternoon Readers Theatre on Saturday, December 2nd starting at 2:15pm the Booker Washington Heights Cultural Arts Center Library Room (2611 Grant Street). The event is free and there will be light refreshments. The event is co-sponsored by Wrightstuf Co.

The play, “Love Me or Leave Me” is a brand new two-act play written by playwright and screenwriter Leasharn M. Hopkins. The play is based on research and concept developed by Master’s thesis candidate Je T’aime Nissi. In an effort to finish her thesis, Ms. Nissi will be providing a pre- & post-evaluation. The play was read at the Winston-Salem State University in November, 2017.

The staged reading will spark very in-depth conversation about drug dependency and its influences on domestic violence and mental abuse. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS READING!!
