Jon Tuttle is a nationally produced playwright who calls South Carolina home, and Trustus is excited to bring the world premiere of his newest play, Boy About Ten, to the Thigpen Main Stage. In this wild new script from Tuttle, audiences meet Terry Spooner, who wants so badly to win back his ex-wife. His attempts, however, are constantly questionable. He’s lost his charm since the good ole days when he was in a Kiss tribute band, and now burrito wrappers have become a serviceable replacement for toilet paper (in a pinch). When their kids get involved in the mix, we begin to learn that Terry’s struggle will be harder than he imagined and that the family’s experiences with puppies, snakes, and divorce could equal some rather unexpected twists and turns. But hey, that’s life right?
