The Trojan Women

The Trojan Women

Presented by USC Department of Theatre and Dance at Booker T. Washington Building

By Euripides, Translated by Nicholas Ruddall
Directed by Kelsea Woods,
Faculty Supervised by Robert Richmond

This centuries old Greek meditation on the brutality of battle, adapted by acclaimed theatre scholar Nicholas Ruddall and here given an immersive, modern staging, continues to move and inspire, even in our war-torn present day. Euripides’ classic tragedy shows us war’s cost through the eyes of the women left behind, who must find the strength to go on when the destruction is over.
