The Richland Library Artist-in-Residence program was created in 2015 to support artists, performers, and makers of all types and disciplines. The program gives artists the ability to work freely in their own studio space within the Main library, share their works with the community, and provide learning opportunities and art programs for library guests.
Priority will be given to artists who present ideas for projects that fall in line with Richland Library’s promises: to Enhance the Customer Experience, and to Advance Our Community.
Residents will be chosen by a jury made up of Richland Library’s Art Committee.
Residencies generally last 6 months.
Residents are required to keep 20 open office hours monthly and collaborate with library staff on arts programming for the public.
A monthly stipend will be given to residents for supplies.
Closing date for proposals: July 31st, 2017
