ECOS will culminate with an exhibit featuring the completed art and include original audio
material from the VOCES project. The exhibit will be presented in several cities across the state
and will be of special interest to immigrants, students, faculty, artists, and the general public.

ECOS Submission Criteria
Interested individuals should submit an email to
palmettoluna@gmail.com, with the following information: 1. Name, Email, Phone, Address, Age 2. Artist Statement (100 words maximum). Include reasons/interest to participate. 3. Art Samples (3 images of work). Include: Title, Year, Size, Medium 2. Artists’ Selection (Selected artists will be notified by email by May 31, 2017)

3. ECOS First Planning Meeting
Selected artists must participate in a planning meeting scheduled for June 10, 2017. Artists will
learn about the objectives of ECOS, hear excerpts from oral stories, and sign artists’ contracts.
Artists have total freedom to interpret and create their pieces within the technical and physical
limitations of the exhibit. Each artist will receive $750 for their participation, paid incrementally over the course of the project. Artists will have five months to plan, develop and complete their work.
