It’s Spring….are you having Spring fever? We know, in Columbia there is no Spring fever, but it’s time for a Spring Fling anyways. This month we have three performers from Athens Georgia.

Coquette de Jour

Coquette de Jour is a big proponent of education and is founder of Bump & Grunge Burlesque. Performer, choreographer, model, and actress–Coquette de Jour’s versatile background in theatre and dance has been her main asset since she began burlesque in 2011. Her dance career proceeds this for nearly a decade, however. With Egyptian, Turkish, and American bellydance training, followed by heavy hip hop and modern influences, Coquette’s burlesque acts are often filled with theatricality, polish, and a significant amount of muscle control. Coquette’s teaching philosophy focuses on individual development, so her teaching style is often informal and varies in experience. She believes in finding and establishing a foundation, then adding to the foundation for continual learning. Her main focuses when teaching are choreography, improvisation, theatricality, and ensemble.

Tittiana Sprinkles

Tittiana Sprinkles has been performing burlesque with a geeky twist for over three years. She can now be found performing nerdlesque around Athens and Atlanta as part of Effie’s Club Follies serving up absurdist humor and sick dance moves topped with a pop culture soaked cherry. Call her Tittiana Sprinkles, just Titti Sprinkles, or Sprankles for short – Tittiana is going to be a star, senpai!

Dee Flowered

Dee Flowered has been cheerfully sharing her special brand of glamour and giggles with lucky audiences since joining Effie’s Club Follies in 2009. Known as “The Doris Day of Dropping Trou,” Dee is particularly influenced by old Hollywood musicals and has a penchant for hiding props in strange places on her person! Dee has been a guest performer and featured in festival showcases across the United States. Dee is also actively involved in the independent feminist film making of Gonzoriffic and can be seen in films such as Barbara, Pajama Nightmare, Space Boobs, and My Minute with Marilyn. In addition to performing, Miss Flowered teaches classes on the art of wig wearing and styling and on burlesque Entertainment Theory

Shamelessly Hot loves partnering with some of the best talent in the culinary fields here in Columbia SC. We are applying the same concept to them that we do to our performers; they cook what they absolutely love to cook (may be on a menu somewhere, may not) and then they tell you why they do what they do (what makes them tick and so on) and a Q&A session.

This month we are pleased to have Ashley Bundrick and Kyle Turbyfill from Cafe Strudel. Yes, the Cafe Strudel that you know and love for the Hangover Hashbrowns. They do some kick ass gourmet food and make the amazing comfort food that they are so well known for.
