Physics & Astronomy Public Lecture: "Solar Eclipses: the Dread and the Fascination"

Dr. Sarbani Basu is a solar physicist and chair of the Department of Astronomy at Yale University (New Haven, CT).  She will visit Columbia, SC on the weekend preceding the total solar eclipse of 2017, to give a public lecture on the USC Columbia campus at the W.W. Hootie Johnson Performance Hall (Room #101) in the Darla Moore School of Business (1014 Greene Street).  Dr. Basu’s talk will be presented at a level accessible to a broad general audience.  This event is free and open to all.  No reservations are required, though seating will be on a first come, first served basis.
