The wind faculty from the University of South Carolina and East Carolina University join forces for a program of works for double wind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon). Featured will be dapplegray, a new piece by USC composition professor David K. Garner based on the folk lullaby All the Pretty Horses, for double quintet and electronic playback, along with Romanian composer George Enescu’s spectacular Dixtour.
