This is the first of a series of summer workshops for those interested in sculpture.  This first of this series ""Safari Animals" focuses on the exotic animals that make of the jungles. .  Students will learn about allowances for legs, body proportions, sculpting the animal for its traits and other characteristics of sculpting animals.  Students should have prior experience in pottery basics before taking this workshop.  A minimum of 5 will be accepted for this workshop and a maximum of 10.  It is recommended that students register early in order to ensure a seat in the class.  This is a hands on class as opposed to a lecture or discussion.  Class rate of $60 will be discounted for Art Center members or Midlands Clay Arts members.  Other discounts may apply.  Call 545-3093 or e-mail at bloliver@columbiasc.net for more information.
