Columbia Baroque Concert: "The Palace of Versailles"

Presented by Columbia Baroque at USC School of Music Recital Hall

Discover a surprising liaison between The Palace of Versailles and the United States in this program which features two of Corrette’s  “Concerto Comiques” plus a Montclair cantata for solo voice and instruments, harpsichord music by Pancrace Royer, and a chaconne for gamba by Marais.  Ensemble music of Boismortier and Dornel features a beautiful liaison of French and Italian styles.

Performers for the evening include Britnee Siemon, mezzo soprano; Jean Hein, Baroque recorders; Mary Hosteler Hoyt, Baroque violin; Erika Cutler, Baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba; and Jerry Curry , harpsichord.

“Concert Conversations” by Sarah F. Williams will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by the performance at 7:30 p.m.
