Intimate Grammars: A Diné (Navajo) Poetry Panel

Mark your calendars for Friday, November 4th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm! There will be a Diné, also known as Navajo, poetry panel and discussion with prize-winning poet Laura Tohe, poet Rex Lee Jim, and Dr. Anthony Webster, author of ‘Intimate Grammars: An Ethnography of Navajo Poetry’. A reception will precede the panel starting at 5:30pm on the 2nd floor of Mckissick Museum. At 6:30, the ‘Intimate Grammars’ poetry panel will begin in Mckissick Auditorium. Entry is free and we encourage anyone and everyone interested in poetry, linguistics, anthropology, and/or Native American studies to come hear these amazing poets and linguistic anthropologist present and discuss their work. We hope to spark up an intimate conversation about language and poetry’s power in our own communities.
