Columbia Baroque Concert: Musical Splendor from the Grand Courts of Europe “The British Monarchy”

Presented by Columbia Baroque at Concert Hall, Spears Center for the Arts, Columbia College

 

We celebrate the liaison between the British and German Monarchies with the music of Handel including selections from his Water Music and

Music for the Royal Fireworks, two of his Nine German Songs and a beautiful Trio Sonata, plus Purcell, Corbett, Locke and variations on

Greensleeves.

 

Performers for the concert are Brittnee Siemon, mezzo soprano; Jean Hein, Baroque recorders; Mary Hosteler Hoyt, Baroque violin; Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba; andJerry Curry, harpsichord.

 

 “Concert Conversations” presented by Sarah F. Williams begins at 7 p.m. followed by the Performance at 7:30 p.m.
