In conjunction with the Forest Acres Restaurant and Merchants Association, The Picture Place and the Trenholm Artist Guild are again teaming up to provide an experience for art enthusiasts of the Columbia area. 

The Picture Place, located at 4711 Forest Dr #9, in Forest Acres will host a two-week exhibit showing 2D and 3D art by twenty Trenholm Artists Guild members. The exhibit will be on display from Tuesday, September 13 through Monday, September 27. The Picture Place http://www.columbiapictureframing.com/ is open 10 AM – 6 PM, Monday through Friday, and 10 AM – 4 PM Saturday.

The Tuesday, September 13, 5-8:00 PM reception will feature blues music by CJ Mack and artists making art. Participating artists will be on hand to talk about and demonstrate their work. Enjoy light refreshments and live music. 

Trenholm Artists Guild, also known as TAG, has a membership of over 225. The group includes amateur and professional artists who work in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, drawing, sculpture, photography, and other creative media. Many TAG members work full-time in the field of art as art teachers, graphic artists, or professional artists. 

Established in 1971, TAG is an incorporated, non-profit organization located in Columbia, South Carolina.  It is designated an IRS 501 (c) (3) organization.

TAG was created to encourage and stimulate the practice and appreciation of the creative arts among the people living in the greater Columbia area of South Carolina. To achieve this goal, TAG works cooperatively with other groups to help build audiences and participation in the arts.
