Physics & Astronomy Public Lecture: "Brilliant Blunders"

Presented by University of South Carolina at USC School of Law, Main Auditorium

The new Distinguished Lecture Series in Physics and Astronomy, sponsored by the USC Provost and the Vice President for Research, begins Fall 2016. Each distinguished guest will give a public lecture, touching on exciting topics at the forefront of physics and astronomy and accessible to a broad public audience.

Dr. Mario Livio is an internationally renowned astrophysicist, a best-selling author, and a popular speaker. He is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and has published more than 400 scientific papers. Dr. Livio is also the author of five popular science books. His recent book, Brilliant Blunders, was on the Best-Sellers List of the New York Times and selected by the Washington Post as one of the “2013 Best Books of the Year.” This special public lecture will be held in the main auditorium at the current School of Law (701 Main Street). A book signing by Dr. Livio will follow.
