Censored: the art exhibition
To explore. To push the envelope. To experiment. To tantalize. To interact. To question the parameters of what is deemed appropriate in our society. To investigate the influence of social media on our perceptions of the human body. The Censorship Exhibition will delve into the many facets of society’s pre conceived notions of what is appropriate to share or show and why or why not? We encouraged artists to create in your face, raw, alternate and unexpected points of view. Real issue…or is it? Where do you stand?
Spearheaded by Columbia Artists Amanda Ladymon and Jim Dukes, a group exhibition opens June 3, 2016 at Frame of Mind in West Columbia. Artists will include: fine arts, performance, literary, and music. The opening reception will feature live performance, music, food, and cash bar.
