Exhibition Statement:

All Requisite Parts is a documentation, reflection and investigation of my experience as a woman trying to “have it all.” Within this body of work, I confront my inner conflict in regards to female identity, the idealization of motherhood, and the notion of fulfillment. Through photographs, sound and sculpture, I create an immersive experience that communicates my struggle to balance and manage the roles and expectations as a mother, army wife, and artist.

This exhibition will be on view from Monday April 18th to Friday April 22nd 9am-4:30pm at USC’s School of Visual Art & Design McMaster Gallery, which is located at 1615 Senate St Columbia, SC 29201. The closing reception will be held on Friday April 22nd 5-7pm. Stephanie Shively will give an artist talk at 6pm. Food and refreshments will be served.
