The Campaign

Presented by Workshop Theatre at Cottingham Theatre on Columbia College's campus

Workshop Theatre is excited to welcome audiences back to live performances after the COVID hiatus! We kick off our 54th season with an original play by a local playwright, The Campaign, running October 1 to 10.

The Campaign explores the relationship between Kyle McMillian and his new live-in boyfriend Seth. Kyle is struggling to balance his political aspirations while navigating a new relationship. These struggles are further complicated by his meddling mother Naomi, whose good intentions only seem to fuel the fire and expose the flaws in Kyle and Seth’s relationship. Do they have what it takes to distinguish what is real from what’s just lip-service?

The Campaign is a drama interspersed with humor. This original play is written and directed by local playwright Crystal-Elise Aldamuy.

The three-person cast includes Josh Kern as Kyle, Julian Deleon as Seth, and Tiffany Dinsmore as Seth’s mother Naomi.

Due to adult themes, this show is for audiences 16 and older.

General admission ticket sales begin for members on September 22, and for the general public beginning September 24. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Box Office at 803-799-6551 from noon to 5 pm during the week. On the weekends, the Box Office opens two hours before the show begins.
