Arts at Shandon presents the Tom Glenn Players in “You Can’t Take It With You.” This zany Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman is a good fit for February because it’s all about love. Tony Kirby, son of a stuffy Wall Street banker, falls for a daughter of the Sycamore family, whose motto – if they were organized enough to have one – would be “Anything goes!” A visit with the Sycamores might involve snakes, ballet dancing, wrestling matches and fireworks – not to mention Russian royalty, actresses with drinking problems and G-men.
Come see how the complexities of romantic love and familial love play out in this zany and delightful chaos.
All performances will be in the choir room. Admission is free, but donations in any amount are welcome. Performance dates and times: 7:30 p.m. February 26th and 27th; 3 p.m. February 28th.
