Workshop Theatre is overjoyed to be returning to the stage after a 15-month absence. Kick off the summer with All You Need Is Love, a young performers’ cabaret featuring songs about relationships, the joy and sorrow, the challenges, and the discovery that love brings to life.

All You Need Is Love will be presented at the outdoor stage at Hammond School from June 17-20. The outdoor stage was chosen to allow for a socially distanced, COVID-safe audience experience.

Last summer Workshop Theatre was prepared to produce Disney’s Aladdin Jr. before COVID brought everything to a halt. In constructing this cabaret, we brainstormed with some of the cast from Aladdin and allowed their input into some of the songs to perform. Many of these songs reflect what they experienced during the shutdown, and the importance of love and relationships that came from it.

This cabaret explores and celebrates one of the greatest forces in life. Because if this past year has taught us anything, it’s that “all you need is love.”

All You Need Is Love is directed by Hans Boeschen, with musical direction by Lee Martin, and choreography by Roxanne Livingston Rich.

Tickets will be available starting June 9 at noon. You can reserve your tickets online by going to workshoptheatre.com or by calling 803-799-6551. Seating will be general admission. Audiences will be allowed to enter at 6:30 pm with the show beginning at 7:00 pm each night.

You are welcome to bring bag chairs, beach chairs, or picnic blankets. Folding chairs and cushions will also be provided. There is a convenient parking lot near the outdoor stage, and handicap parking is also available if needed.

Concessions will be available. Concessions will be cash only.
