Virtual Evening for Educators

Virtual Evening for Educators

Presented by Columbia Museum of Art at Columbia Museum of Art

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, the CMA is offering up this session as a time to relax, restore, and refresh through art and mindfulness. Join us virtually for chair yoga with Stacey Collins, owner of City Yoga; a guided mindfulness artmaking session with Julie K. Hansard, a Columbia artist; and a thoughtful slow-looking experience in the CMA collection galleries with Curator of Education Glenna Barlow. Plus, get a sneak peek of upcoming exhibitions The Ironic Curtain and 30 Americans with Curator Catherine Walworth. Registration is required and space is limited. Small teacher appreciation gift bags including artmaking supplies, a candle from Kiroka Essentials, a cocktail/mocktail mixer kit, and CMA swag will be available at the CMA Welcome Desk for pickup Saturday, May 1, through Wednesday, May 5, or while supplies last. Limited to the first 50 teachers with teacher ID; one per person. One lucky kit includes a golden ticket good for a free teacher workshop! Supported by Bank of America.
