STRONG THREADS 2016 is a ***FREE EVENT*** and will be held at THE ST JOHN HOLISTIC WELLNESS CENTER, 222 J.W. NEAL CIRCLE, HOPKINS, SC 29061.

Strong Threads is an annual ONE DAY Historical Event with Music, Dancing, Workshops, Food & Entertainment Festival. African American Heritage Celebration & Festival. The ever popular STRONG THREADS event is a unique opportunity to celebrate and educate the community through entertainment about their African American History, the people, and the rich heritage of Lower Richland County.

There will be dancing, singing, food, live music/entertainment/performers/vendors, workshops, youth games and much more! This year’s special guest will feature An Evening with 2x Grammy Winner & Tony Award Winning Broadway Star MISS. JENNIFER HOLLIDAY (The Original Dream Girl).

With other musical and special guests such as Gospel and Inspirational Recording Artist REGINA SKEETERS, Rock, Pop, & Soul Multi-talented artist MO MUSIC, MELODIC HEARTZ,  The African dancing and drumming of THE ABATSU DANCERS From Hilton Head, SC, Author & Special Guest Author Jonathan Green, Audrey Smalls (Ceo) of the Black Inventors Museum and so much more!

This year the festival theme is TEACH PEACE bringing awareness to teaching global peace as well as teaching peace to our communities.
