Join the Friends of African American Art & Culture (FAAAC) virtually for the fifth edition of Sip and Scribble, a soulful coloring book party. Relax with friends and/or family, enjoy a beverage of your choice, and color pages illustrated by two of South Carolina’s very own talented artists, Ija Charles and Damion Johnson. As you color, enjoy an interview with both artists to learn more about them and their illustrations. Free with registration on Zoom.

Charles is known for her murals around Columbia and Cayce and was recently included in the NFL Artist Replay initiative, which features the artwork of 17 BIPOC from around the world.

Johnson’s work has been included in ArtFields, and his murals can be found in several school hallways across the state. His inspirational “Injustice Ends” mural in Orangeburg, SC, made its way across media platforms recently given its message of unity, hope, and power.

Packets including colored pencils and illustrations are available for pick up from the CMA Welcome Desk on Wednesday, November 18; limited to the first 100 people and to two (2) packets per person.
