The Neurodiversity New Play Festival

The Neurodiversity New Play Festival

Presented by Spectrum Theatre Ensemble at Online/Virtual Space

The Neurodiversity New Play Festival will generate a marketable, replicable body of work that expands the American play cannon with neurodiverse voices and stories. It was developed in collaboration with and for the Spectrum Theatre Ensemble Company, and to serve the communities they represent.

This online live festival event will feature plays written by neurodiverse artists, capstones of works that are in progress by emerging professional playwrights, and panels discussing different challenges and opportunities in meeting the needs of a neurodivergent population and the importance of neurodiverse representation in the arts.
Funding provided in part by a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, through an appropriation by the Rhode Island General Assembly, a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and private funders.
