SVAD Students Share BLM Work and COVID Design

Presented by UofSC School of Visual Art & Design at Online/Virtual Space

We’re sharing what SVAD students and alumni have created since March 2020.
Will Hollerung (1, 8): Made in response to the Black Lives Matter protests
Livi Crowell (2, 7)
Jalen Hodges (3)
Myniya Leandre (4)
Sarah Louise Rhodes (5); “I was enjoying my time abroad in Florence, Italy when the pandemic began and I suddenly had to return to the US after only a month in my dream destination. Without classes to attend or a summer job to keep me busy, I turned to painting full time and posting my work on instagram (@weezydoesart).”
Andrew Odom and Sydni Brown (not linked here due to Facebook post restrictions): Excerpt from documentary for NASCAR team Reaume Brothers Racing; view at https://youtu.be/L1cq3AJ9ACU
Kelley Pettibone (6); “It is not in my nature to sit still for any amount of time. I am happiest when I am busy with a multitude of things happening all at once. Quarantine forced me to have to get creative within my home studio space and since April I have been experimenting with new ways of creating art with the resources which I have available”
