Let's Talk About It! | Book Discussion Series

Presented by South Carolina Humanities at Online/Virtual Space

LET’S TALK ABOUT IT – KEY INGREDIENTS: FOOD IN FICTION

Thursday, July 30, 7:00 p.m. Online discussion of Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café by Fannie Flagg with Dr. Julie Wise.

Let’s Talk About It is more than your average book club. These programs have the added bonus of a humanities scholar to broaden discussions. From September 2019 to February 2020 we read, watched and compared three novels to their film adaptations. The final novel discussion and movie was cancelled in March, however we are moving it online on July 30th! If you need a copy of the book or to check out the movie, please contact the reference desk on the 2nd floor of the library. This program is made possible with a grant from SC Humanities and funding from the Friends of the Library. This program is for adults 18 and older.

Contact the reference desk on the 2nd floor at the library for info on how to attend this online discussion!
