Flutist Philip Snyder and piano collaborator/hiking partner Suzanne Crabtree experience similar yet enigmatic callings to both music and the wilderness. Perhaps the best description of this calling comes from John Muir who famously said “The mountains are calling, and I must go”.

The performance explores this yearning through classical music paired with field recordings, projections, and stories from the trail.
