Due to the ongoing health crisis, we’ve moved our June summer camps online via Zoom and Google Classroom.  The status of our July summer camps is currently pending. Please check back here for updates.

Theatre for the Very Young 

Pinkalicious! June 8-12 | 9-11:15AM | Ages 3-5 | $200
Inspired by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann’s classic book series, this exciting camp will have your young actor immersed in the world of Pinkalicious Pinkerton! Explore theatre concepts and vocabulary through a Pinkalicious book each day. Our actors will brave the stage on the last day to show you what being “pinkalicious” is all about!

Where the Wild Things Are. June 8-12 | 1:30-3:45PM | Ages 3-5 | $200
Calling all wild things! Spend a week exploring the island of the Wild Things and learn what it takes to truly become a Wild Thing through theatre concepts and fun. On the last day of camp, the Wild Things will take the stage and show you a glimpse into their world. Let the wild rumpus start!

Wheels on the Bus. June 15-19 | 9-11:15AM | Ages 3-5 | $200
All aboard! Join us as we explore the many exotic places and people you encounter when traveling. We will use theatre concepts and vocabulary to recreate all of the magical locations that are out there. Families are welcome to come aboard on the last day of camp to experience what our young traveler have learned! Next stop, imagination!

 

The Youth Experience

Advanced Acting – Middle School. Students entering grades 6-8 | $200
Join American Academy of Dramatic Arts graduate Julian Deleon as we explore advanced acting techniques such as Meisner, Viola Spolin and Stanislavski’s “Method.” Students will use these techniques in developing their own specific acting styles as they analyze and interpret age-appropriate monologues. This workshop for the advanced middle school actor will use the text of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet to explore advanced rehearsal and performance techniques.

Fantasy Fun Camp. June 15-19 | 9-10:30AM | Students entering grades 1-3 | $200
Introduction to the world of theater for early learners. Campers will explore the basics of creative expression, storytelling, creative movement and pantomime. Campers will showcase their work in a story-theatre production of a piece of children’s literature on the final day of camp.

Under the Sea Puppets with Paul. June 22-26 | 9AM-12:30PM | Students entering grades 3-8 | $200
This one-week, hands-on workshop will focus on the design, construction and manipulation of various styles of puppets, all created around the theme “Under the Sea”! CCT Artistic Associate Paul Lindley leads the workshop that will cover shadow, finger, hand and even carnival style puppets to create some very lovable sea creatures. All materials and supplies will be provided for campers to make their puppets each day.

 

Teen Studios

Advanced Acting – High School. June 8-12 | 1-3PM | Students entering grades 9-12 | $200

Movement for the Actor. June 15-19 | 1-3:30PM | Students entering grades 9-12 | $200
Explore a smorgasbord of movement techniques for the actor with American Academy of Dramatic Arts graduate, Julian Deleon. From Alexander to Suzuki and many in between, this studio session will provide the serious actor with various movement techniques needed to more successfully inhabit a character.

Commedia Dell’arte. June 15-19 | 10AM-12:30PM | Students entering grades 9-12 | $200
Classically-trained actor and American Academy of Dramatic Arts graduate Julian Deleon will lead this week-long intensive training workshop designed for the less-than-serious actor. This studio class will cover the basic physical and vocal characterizations of Commedia’s stock characters and scenarios.
