S. Jane Gari at SC State Library

Presented by South Carolina State Library at South Carolina State Library

Join us for a book talk and signing.  Losing the Dollhouse offers a slice of dysfunctional Americana complete with divorce, step-families, eating disorders, mental illness and the search for true love.

New York native author and Stony Brook alumnus debuted her memoir, Losing the Dollhouse, on February 2, 2015 with Touch Point Press. A portion of the author’s proceeds will benefit RAINN (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network). Gari is a supporter of the organization and serves as a member of their speaker’s bureau.

Gari’s book has already garnered praise from other memoir authors, including Ashley Rhodes-Courter, author of the international bestseller Three Little Words  who recognizes that, “It takes tremendous courage and strength to share the most vulnerable parts of our lives with the world. I thank S. Jane Gari for giving a voice to important issues and victims that are all too often ignored.”

Books will be available for purchase and signing. All programs will take place from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the South Carolina State Library located at 1500 Senate St., Columbia. Speaker @ the Center is FREE and open to the public. Feel free to bring your lunch. No registration required.
