Just in time for Mother’s Day! Come enjoy a fun indigo workshop. After preparing a non-fermented indigo bat together, you will be shown the arashi shibori technique also known as pole-wrapping to create a striped like pattern. The prepared scarf will then be dipped a couple of times in the indigo bath. The instructor will provide a silk scarf, gloves and all other materials needed. Please wear an old shirt or apron,. Registration fee of $50 includes instruction and all materials. Class size limited to minimum of 4 and maximum of 12. Participants must be 16 and older to take this workshop.  Class will be held at Columbia Art Center, 1227 Taylor Street,  Columbia SC.
