7pm – Columbia Food and Wine Festival Kick-off Dinner in Five Points
A Five Points celebration, the official kickoff event of the 2020 festival week will take place around the iconic fountain of Five Points featuring some of the best chefs and restaurants in the neighborhood. Menu curated by head chef of Saluda’s Restaurant, Josh Rogerson.

5pm – Cured, Buzzed & Butchered
Executive Chef Wes Fulmer of Motor Supply Co. Bistro will partner with Charcutier Michael Sullivan (nicknamed the “Reverend of Fat”) of American Butcher in Birmingham, AL, on an interactive charcuterie, coffee and cocktail happy hour. Graze on house-cured meats and accompaniments thoughtfully paired with locally-roasted Indah coffee and bourbon-based cocktails by Motor Supply Head Barman Josh Streetman.  The event will be held at Indah Coffee in Columbia’s historic Cottontown neighborhood. Guests will have the opportunity to view demonstrations, try curated pairings and talk intimately with the experts.

6pm – WeCo Progressive Dinner – SOLD OUT
A collaboration between Chefs Kristian Niemi (Black Rooster, Bourbon) and Mike Davis (Terra), participants will travel West Columbia’s eclectic State Street, visiting each restaurant for cocktails and appetizer pairings before settling for dinner at the market space. Guests will begin the evening on the rooftop of Black Rooster then progress to Terra’s outdoor patio before ending with a three-course dinner at the market space. Join us as we-go to We-Co!

11am – Heavy Metal Brunch
A dark and wild twist on everyone’s favorite meal; Chefs David Grillo of Cantina 76 and Alex Strickland of Black Rooster will craft a brunch menu unlike any other; all while these unique offerings are enjoyed in a darkened Boyd Plaza pavilion with heavy metal music in the backdrop.  Mixologists from Main Street favorite Bourbon will provide fun twists on the classic brunch cocktails to accompany each course. Attendees will receive admission into Kirk Hammett’s exhibition It’s Alive and the bonus guitar experience at the Columbia Museum of Art as part of the brunch experience.

11am – Ladies Who Lunch – SOLD OUT
Calling all ladies! This event is for women by women.  Columbia’s most notable female chefs, Jessica Shillato (Spotted Salamander Café & Catering), Maegan Horton (Blue Marlin), Kiki Cyrus (Kiki’s Chicken & Waffles) and Rosalind Graverson (Lula Drake Wine Parlour) will partner to provide for a four-course lunch held at the Pastor’s Study of Lula Drake. Attendees will hear from female SC-based farmers whose products will be featured in the menu of the day.

11am – Cooking with EdVenture!
Join the team from EdVenture as you and your little one learn how to chop, dice and prepare your very own lunch together. Over the course of the class, your child will learn how to prepare a meal from scratch and enjoy their creation with you for a one-of-a-kind lunch experience. Your ticket includes one adult and one child, ages 7-11.

This event is hosted in partnership with The University of South Carolina and The School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management at their new state of the art Marriott Kitchen Space.

This beloved preparation of meat has become a religion in the Midlands and, given the skilled pitmasters that call the region home, that should serve as no surprise. Get ready to [flight] over tickets to our 2020 marquee satellite event. Saturday of the Festival concludes with an experience that defies all expectations and gravity. Join the Columbia Food and Wine Festival and the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) for a craft beer happy hour in the Eagle Aviation Hangar before proceeding to an outdoor dinner on the edge of the CAE runway.  Enjoy a remarkable four-course dinner prepared by chef Nivit Tipvaree of Lexington’s Bodhi Thai Dining and chef Scott Hall of Columbia’s Bone-In BBQ while witnessing commercial and passenger aircraft arrive and depart just yards away.
