Girls Rock Columbia is hosting its first-ever Rummage & Gear Sale. Attendees can take home gently used clothing, household items, and oversized gear in exchange for monetary donations. This event will be held at Curiosity Coffee Bar – 2327 Main Street Columbia, SC 29201 on Sunday, March 29th, 2020 from 4-7 pm, and anyone interested in making more room in their own lives can rent a space for $20 to sell their own items. DJ HP (Heather Parsons) will be playing tunes in the lot while you shop, and this event is family-friendly and fun.

Girls Rock Columbia is extremely grateful for all of the gear donated from the generous folx of the Greater Columbia community over the past 8 years. After receiving a Reverb Gives grant last year, the organization is well on its way to owning all of the gear they need for summer camp programming and is now on a mission to make the gear they have accessible to all volunteers and campers. Large, heavy gear and items not used during camp week will be looking for a new home!

Girls Rock Columbia is a part of the international organization known as the Girls Rock Camp Alliance. Their collective mission is to empower girls, trans, and gender non-conforming youth through music education and activities that foster self-respect, leadership skills, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

We value the power of music as a means to create personal change, efforts that actively expand opportunities for girls and women, positive approaches to fighting sexism, integrity, honesty, respect, appropriate sharing of resources, cooperation, and collaboration, using our collective voice to further our mission, and diversity.

Their year-long programming culminates with a summer camp for youth aged 8-17.
